Influence of Danghong Injection on TNF-alpha and IL-8 of Patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease in Acute Exacerbation

Objective To observe the influence of Danhong injection on treating tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-alpha) and interleukin-8(IL-8) of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in acute exacerbation.Methods 100 patients of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease in acute exacerbation were randomly divided into the treatment group(52 cases) and the control group(48 cases),conventional symptomatic treatments(anti-inflection,asthma preventing,phlegm reduction,oxygen inhalation and the like) were applied to both the groups,40 mL Danhong injection and 250 mL 0.9% sodium chloride injection were also used for the treatment group aside from the conventional treatment,while at the same time with an intravenous drip per day for the period of 14 days.Signs and symptoms,vigor analysis,and index changes of lung function of the patients of the two groups were observed,and the changes of blood serum TNF-alpha and IL-8 level of the patients in the two groups were detected.Results The overall clinical effectiveness of the treatment group was better than that of the control group(P0.05),the TNF-alpha and IL-8 concentrations in the blood serum of the treatment group were lower than those of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P0.05 or P0.01).Conclusion Danhong injection can reduce the TNF-alpha and IL-8 concentrations in blood serums of the COPD in acute exacerbation,can inhibit the generation of inflammatory cells and play a prominent role in inhibiting the COPD airway inflammation.
