The expression of integrinβ3 and matrix metalloproteinases-2 in placenta of hypertensive disorder complicating pregnancy

Objective:To investigate the expression of integrinβ3 and matrix metalloproteinases-2(MMP-2)in placenta of hypertensive disorder complicating pregnancy and approach its relationship in the course of hypertensive disorder complicating pregnancy.Methods:Immunohistochemical method was used to detect the expression of integrinβ3 of placenta and MMP-2 in 10 cases hypertensive disorder complicating pregnancies and 10 cases normal pregnancies.Results:The expression of integrinβ3 in normal pregnancies was significantly less than that in hypertensive disorder complicating pregnancy(P0.01).The expression of MMP-2 in normal pregnancies was significantly higher than that in hypertensive disorder complicating pregnancy(P0.01).Conclusion:The expression of integrinβ3 in hypertensive disorder complicating pregnancy inreases significantly and the expression of MMP-2 decreases significantly.The abnormal expression of integrinβ3 and MMP-2 in placenta is reduced at the level of transcription and leads to insufficient trophoblasts infiltration,which might be involved in the pathogenesis of hypertensive disorder complicating pregnancy.
