Determination of geniposide in Chaizhi Shugan Pills by HPLC

Abstract

Objective To establish an HPLC method for the determination of geniposide in Chaizhi Shugan Pills.Methods Geniposide was separated on Zorbax SB-C18(4.6 mm×250 mm,5 μm)column,the mobile phase was acetonitrile-water(15:85) with the flow rate of 1.0 mL·min-1 and the detection wavelength was 238 nm.Results The linear range of geniposide was 0.168 6～3.372 0 μg(r=0.999 7),the average recovery was 99.3% and the RSD was 1.3%.Conclusion The method was convenient,rapid and reproducible,and it can be used for the quality control of Chaizhi Shugan Pills.
