Abstract

Objective To investigate the expression of basic fibroblast growth factor(bFGF) and fibroblast growth factor receptor(FGFR)\|Ⅰ in thyroid carcinoma and to interpret the relation between their expression and development in thyriod carcinoma. Methods In this study, a total of 88 cases thyroid carcinomas, 15 cases follicular adenomas and 30 cases normal thyroid tissue were detected by immunohistochemical SP method. In the same time 33 cases of thyroid carcinoma of DNA contents were analysed by medical image processing system. Results The positive rates both of bFGF and FGFR\|Ⅰ showed as carcinoma adenomanormal thyroid tissue(P0 05). Both expression of bFGF and FGFR\|Ⅰ were in positive correlation with nuclear DNA content(P0 01). Cervical lymph node metastases showed more often in expression positive group than negative group(P0 05). Conclusion The bFGF and FGFR\|Ⅰ may play an important role to enhance tumors invasion and promote nodal metastases. \;
