Analysis on clinical distribution and drug resistance of Klebsiella pneumoniae

Abstract

Objective:To investigate the clinical distribution of Klebsiella pneumoniae and its drug resistance to provide the basis for rational clinical use of antibiotics.Methods:The various types isolates of Klebsiella pneumoniae from specimens collected in inpatients were performed the retrospective analysis on the clinical distribution and results of drug susceptibility test.Results:155 strains of Klebsiella pneumoniae were detected,in which the ESBLs-producing positive rate was 34.8%.The drug results of susceptibility test showed that the resistance rates of ESBLs-producing Klebsiella pneumoniae to imipenem,piperacillin/tazobactam and amikacin were 0.0%,14.9% and 13.2% respectively,and high resistance to the third generation cephalosporins and monocyclic β-lactam antibiotics and higher resistance to aminoglycosides,fluoroquinolones and sulfonamide antibiotics,in which the resistance rates to fluoroquinolone antibiotics were changed significantly.Conclusion:The drug resistant phenomenon of Klebsiella pneumoniae is serious,especially ESBLs-producing Klebsiella pneumoniae.Monitoring of ESBLs-producing Klebsiella pneumoniae and antibiotics should be strengthened to effectively control the production and dissemination of drug resistant strains.
