Abstract
Objective:To investigate the antimicrobial resistance, and reasons of bloodstream infections caused by Klebsiella pneumoniae in newbron in our hospital,in order to provide evidence for prevention and therapy. Methods: A retrospective analysis including drug sensitivity results of Klebsiella pneumoniae were isolated from blood cutrue from January 2007 to June 2010.Blood was cultured in BACTEC9120 made in U.S.BD,and identification of the bacteria and antibiotics susceptibility were performed by Phoenix100 all-automatic microbiology analysis system.ESBLs-producing Klebsiella pneumoniae were screened by initial screening test and confirmed by the phenotypic confirmatory test recommended by Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute(CLSI).Results: Totally 40strains of Klebsiella pneumoniae were isolated from blood,The positive rate of ESBLs-producing Klebsiella pneumoniae was 72.5%.The antibiotic resistance rate of ESBLs-producing strain were much higher than that of non-ESBLs-producing strain. The resistance rate to cephalosporins were very high(80.5%~100%).The resistance rates were low to ciprofloxacin(7.6%),piperacillin/tazobactam(7.5%),cefoperazone/sulbactam(4.9%),all strains were sensitive to imipenemand meraopenem. Conclusion: Klebsiella pneumoniae is playing a significant role in bloodsteam infection.the drug resistance of producing ESBLs Klebsiella pneumoniae is very serious. It is necessary to strengthen monitoring on the antimicrobial resistance to bloodstream infection of Klebsiella pneumoniae.
