Abstract
Objective:To observe the effects of simvastatin on matrix mata lloproteiases 9(MMP 9),c reactive protein(CRP) level in patients with stable an gina pectoris(SAP) and acute coronary syndrome(ACS). Methods:Thirty SAP and th irty ACS patients were randomly divided into either the simvastatin group or the control group. The levels of MMP 9 and CRP before and after treatment were detected.Results:After treatment with simvastatin,the levels of MMP 9 and CRP in both two groups significantly decreased (P0. 001).Conclusion:Simvastatin decreased level of inflammatory factors in the patients of SAP and ACS, so it could benefit to atherosclerotic plaque stabilization.
