Abstract
A novel high waterabsorbing copolymer resin based on sodium acrylate, acrylamide,2hydroxyethyl acrylate and N,Nmethylenebisacrylamide was prepared by inverse suspension copolymerization and potassium persulfate /sodium acid sulfite as redox initiator,Span?80?/Tween 80 as composite dispersing agent. The effect of the amount of bentonite on waterabsorption capacity ,water absorption rate and water retention of the copolymer was studied. The water retention and kinetic process of dewatering of the bentonite composite resin were studied by TGA and DSC.
