Abstract
A new type of high water absorbing copolymer resin based on sodium acrylate, acrylamide and N,N methylene bis acrylamide was prepared by water solution copolymerization and with potassium persulfate/sodium acid sulfite as a redox initiator. The effect of the amount of kaolinite on water absorption capacity, water absorption rate and water retention of copolymer was studied. The water retention and kinetic process of dewatering of the bentonite composite resin was studied by TGA and DSC.
