The Standards,Team Building and Professional Training for ESP Teachers

ESP is the main content of English teaching in higher education,and the teaching force of ESP has become an obstacle to its further development.Reviewing the debate about the source of ESP teachers,this paper analyzes the knowledge frame required for a qualified ESP teacher.Based on that,it puts forward how to acquire the qualification according to the individual conditions.In respect of the construction of teaching team,the paper lays emphasis on its specialty,reasonable combination between different majors and introducing the ESP practitioners into the teaching team.Lastly,the paper also explores the professional training system for ESP teachers.
