Abstract
Objective: To investigate expression of epithelial cadherin protein-E(E-Cadherin) in type Ⅰ endometrial carcinoma and its significance. Methods: Immunohistochemical EnVision method was adopted to detect the E-Cadherin protein expression of 30 cases of proliferative phase endometrium;36 cases of simple hyperplasia of endometrium;50 cases of atypical hyperplasia endometrium and 55 cases of type Ⅰ endometrial carcinoma. Results: From the proliferative phase endometrium, simple hyperplasia of endometrium, atypical hyperplasia endometrium to type Ⅰ endometrial cancer, expression of normal E-cadherin decreased gradually, heterogeneous expression of E-cadherin gradually increased(P0.01).The expression of E-cadherin protein in endometrial carcinoma did not correlated with age and histological grade(P0.05).Conclusion: Expression of E-cadherin protein is associated with the development of type I endometrial carcinoma.
