Abstract
Objective: To study the expression of p27 protein and the significance in human endometrial carcinoma.Methods: Immunohistochemical staining was used to detect the expression of p27 protein in carcinomatous tissues of 42 patients with endometrial carcinoma,10 cases with atypical hyperplasia and 12 normal endometrium tissues.Results: The positive expression of p27 was reduced gradually in the normal endometrium,atypical hyperplasia and endometrial carcinoma(100%,60% and 40.47%,respectively).In endometrial carcinoma,with progression of clinical stage,decreasing of histological grade and deepening of cancer invasion,the expression of p27 decreased.Conclusion: The low expression of p27 protein in endometrial carcinoma may have relationship with bad prognosis.
