Abstract

Objective: Discuss the effect and safety of combining misoprostol and oxytocin preventing postpartum hemorrhage in cesarean section. Methods: 528 puerperas with cesarean section were randomly divided into two groups.Observation group(misoprostol+oxytocin) 300 cases, sublingual administered misoprostol 0.4 mg in the beginning of operation, after delivery of fetus,20 U oxytocin were injected into uterus.Contrast group(oxytocin)228 cases, after delivery of fetus,20 U oxytocin were injected into uterus.Observed postpartum hemorrhage for 2 h after operation. Results: After operation, the average volume of bleeding in 2 h of observation group was(238.11±42.62)ml;contrast group was(409.53±93.17)ml.And the difference was statistically significant(P0.05).Conclusion: Combined misoprostol and oxytocin could effectively reduce postpartum hemorrhage during an operation or after, the effect is stronger than single use of oxytocin, and it's a safety and effective method to prevent postpartum hemorrhage in cesarean section.
