Clinic application of Misoprostol on preventing hemorrhage after cesarean section

Objective To study the clinic effect of misoprostol combined with Oxytocin in preventing hemorrhage after cesarean section.Methods From July 2009 to Decembe 2010 in our hospital,200 pregnant women with cesarean section were selected and randomly divided into treatment group and control group,each for 100 cases,oxytocin for routine use,the treatment group was added with Misoprostol,the hemorrhage during operation and 2、24 h after operation and the postpartum hemorrhage rate were observed. Results The treatment group 2、24 h after operation and the postpartum hemorrhage rate were significantly better than the control group.Conclusion Misoprostol combined with Oxytocin can better prevent postpartum hemorrhage after cesarean section.It’s worthy of clinicl application.
