Study of Cultural Differences between Chinese and English from Color Words' Imaginery Meaning

Abstract

Color words have numerous associative meanings in addition to their conceptual meanings. They convey different feelings and cultural connotations due to different customs, geography, tradition and habits. A comparison between them can help us to have a better understanding of these words and improve our intercultural communication ability.
