Analysis of the Relationship between the Valence of IgG Antibody In Pregnant Women with Blood Type O and the Rate of Hemolytic Disease in the Newborn

Abstract

Objective: To investigate the relationship between the IgG antibody titer in serum of p regnant women with blood type O and the rate of Hemolytic disease in the newborn.Methods: IgG antibody titer in serum of p regnant woman with blood type O was detected by anti-human-globulin test in micro-column gel immunoassay.And four tests were performed with microcolumn Gel immunoassay(①Newborn ABO Rh system typed;②Direct antiglobin test;③Free IgGdetermination;④Elution test).Results: Among 382 pregnant women with blood type O,IgG anti-A(B) antibody titers of 330(86.93%) pregnant women were64 and IgG anti-A(B) antibody titers of 52 pregnant women≥64(13.61%).And the rate of hemolytic disease in the Newborn is 1.31%,respectively anti-A were 3,anti-B were 2.Conclusion: The rate of HDN is increased by the higher IgG antibody titer in serum of p regnant women.Detecting the valence of blood type antibody IgG in serum of pregnant women is helpful to diagnose hemolytic disease of the newborn and to instruct interventions to lower incidence of the disease.
