Abstract

Objective To study the significance of the antibody titer detection of antepartum serum anti-A(B)blood type of IgG in pregnant women with O blood type and its correlation with hemolytic disease of newborn(HDN)by dynamic monitoring. Methods The level of the antibody titer of serum anti-A(B)blood type of IgG were examined in 914 pregnant women with O blood group and 384 of them were dynamically monitored respectively in 20th,24th,28th,32th,and 36th week during pregnancy. Results The incidence of hemolytic disease of newborn was increasing with elevation of the antibody titer of antepartum serum anti-A(B)blood type of IgG in pregnant women with O blood type. When the antibody titer rose to two titers or more, the incidence of HDN was 92.3%.Conclusion It has important clinical signicance on the prevention and treatment of HDN for examining the couples with ABO blood type incompatibility, especially for dynamic monitoring the antibody titer of serum anti-A(B)blood type of IgG in pregnant women with O blood type.
