Abstract
Objective To detect IgG antibody titer in ABO blood type system in serum of pregnant women with blood type O.Methods IgG antibody titer in serum of pregnant woman with blood type O was detected by anti-human-globulin test in micro-column gel immunoassay. Results Among 505 pregnant women with blood type O,IgG anti-A antibody titers of 167(33.07%) pregnant women were ≥64 and IgG anti-B antibody titers of 137 pregnant women≥64(27.13%).The proportions of IgG antibody titer≥64 of pregnant women in O-A blood type couple group and O-B blood type couple group were 53.81%(120/223)and 49.50%(100/202),respectively.While the proportions of IgG anti-A(B) antibody titer≥64 of women in O-AB blood type couple group were 58.75%(47/80) and 46.25%(37/80).The pregnant women in each blood type composition had probability of giving birth a neonate with hemolytic disease of the newborn, and the differences were not significant(χ2=0.719,P0.05). Conclusion Detecting titer of blood type antibody IgG in serum of pregnant women by using micro-column gel immunoassay is helpful to diagnose hemolytic disease of the newborn and to instruct interventions to lower incidence of the disease.
