Abstract
Objective:To understand the level of health knowledge and health status among community residents in Linyin,Baotou city.Methods:The community residents aged 18~70 years old were randomly investigated about health knowledge by face-to-face survey.Results:There was a great shortage of health knowledge among community residents.The main approaches of getting health knowledge were from broadcasts and televisions but not from health workers.Conclusions:To carry out health education among community residents was imperative.To make intervention for health behavior and life style among community residents by health education and health promotion could not only improve awareness of diseases prevention but also reduce pressure of big hospital visits in order to treat minor illness in community and severe disease in hospital.Different health education methods should be used based on different needs among community residents.Health education could improve both technical level of health workers and health quality of community residents.
