Analysis of Irrational Drug Usage in Prescriptions of Out-patient

Objective:To improve the level of rational drug usage in out-patient by investigate the situation of irrational drug usage in out-patient.Methods:A total of 8964 prescriptions randomly selected from April to June 2010 in our hospital were investigated stochastically in order to understand the situation of the irrational drug usage.Results:There are 375 unreasonable prescriptions,accounting for 4.18% of the whol prescriptions.Irrational drug usage mainly contain:irrational usage,irrational combined usage of drugs,repeated medication,unreasonable drug election and irrational solvent.Conclusion:The drug application of out-patients is basically rational in our hospital,while there are still some problems.Clinician and pharmacist both need to learn the pharmacy knowledge.
