Abstract
Objective To observe the effect of Agent SD-Ag-Zn and Moist Burn Ointment in treatment of burn wounds. Methods One hundred and fifty-six burn patients were randomly divided into two groups treated with Agent SD-Ag-Zn(group A) and Moist Burn Ointment(group B) respectively. The analgesic effect, inhibition of wound inflammation, wound healing time, dressing change times and side effects were observed and compared. Results The analgesic effect in group B was better than in group A(P0.01),while the inflammation inhibition effect in group A was better than in group B.In second-degree burns, the positive rate of bacteria culture went down from 40.3% to 9.6% in group A while rose from 39.6% to 60.3% in group B.There was significant difference between two groups(P0.01).For superficial second-degree burns, the wound healing time was(12±2.9) days in group A and(15±2.8) days in group B(significantly different between two groups,P0.05);for deep second-degree burns, the healing time was(27±3.5) days and(49±8.3) days respectively(significantly different between two groups,P0.01).Dressing change times in group A were apparently fewer than in group B(P0.01).Conclusion Moist Burn Ointment is superior to the Agent SD-Ag-Zn in analgesic effect while the latter is superior in preventing and controlling wound infection, and promoting wound healing.
