Abstract

The short Janel A Rose for Emily by William Faulkner describes the tragic love story of Miss Emily Grierson who is from the declined Southern aristocratic class.Its plots are very unusual and horrible.It reveals the Southern experiences in the great social change after the Civil War.The author's unique narrative techniques successfully do much to the Janel's theme and its implication.
