Abstract
Objective To observe the effect of continuous subcutaneous infusion of insulin(CSII) on patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).Methods 70 cases with T2DM were divided randomly into CSII group(n=38) and multiple subcutaneous infusion of insulin(MSII) group(n=32),receiving intensive insulin therapy. Results Comparison with MSII group, the insulin doses necessary to maintain adequate blood glucose in CSII group were less, with a shorter treatment time and lower hypoglycaemia incidence(P0.01).Conclusion At present,CSII is more ideal method of intensive glycemic control for T2DM.
