Abstract

The cotyledon and hypocotyls of Medicago falcata L.were used as explants to study the effect of plant hormone ratio on induction and differentiation of callus of Medicago falcata L..The results showed that: MS+2,4-D 2 mg/L +6-BA 0.5 mg/L+ sucrose 3%+ager 0.7% was suitable for callus induction.MS+KT 0.5 mg/L +NAA 0.1 mg/L + sucrose 2%+ager 0.7% was suitable for callus differentiation.1/2MS+ NAA 0.1 mg/L + sucrose 2%+ager 0.7% was suitable for rooting culture.Hypocotyls were the optimal explants of Medicago falcata L.for callus induction and differentiation.Induction rate can amount to 100% and differentiation rate to 80%.
