The treatment of spontaneous pneumothorax by video assisted thoracoscope surgery

Objective To investigate the selection of adaptation and the role about treating apontaneous pneumothorax by video assisted thoracoscope surgery(VATS).Methods 38 patients with spontaneous pneumothorax have been treated by VATS.The clinic treating effect of VATS on spontaneous pneumothorax was analyzed by clinical observiation.Results All the 38 patients recover well after operating by video thoracoscope.They who only have light pain in operating incision at the first day after operation all can leave bed and move well,and at the 2 or 3 days after the operation the result of chest X-ray show spontaneous pneumothorx having recovered and the drain pipe in thoracic cavity of all patients have been removed.Conclusion VATS treating spontaneous pneumothrax have good curative effect,little wound,light distress,fast recovery and effective cosmetology,so this technique should be extended in clinical pratice.
