Abstract
'Xiami'is a new early-maturing muskmelon cultivar.The fruit is high spherical.The average fruit weight is about 1.3 kg.The ground colour of its pericarp is dark green.The fruit net on pericarp is sparsely and irregularly distributed.The variety belongs to crisp-flesh type and its pulp is green white with thickness of 3.5 cm.The soluble solids content in the center of fruit is above 15%.The fruit developing period is about 41 d.'Xiami'has strong tolerance to gummy stem blight in field.It is suitable for planting in protected field.
