A new muskmelon cultivar 'zheyong 2'.

'Zheyong 2'is a new mid-maturity muskmelon cultivar. The fruit is nearly spherical. The average fruit weight is about 1.3 kg. The ground color of its pericarp is light green. The fruit net on pericarp is well-distributed,moderate in density and width. The variety belongs to soft-flesh type and its flesh is light yellow green with thickness of 3 cm. The soluble solids content in the center of fruit is usually more than 15%. The fruit yield is about 27 t·hm-2. And this cultivar is resistant to powdery mildew.
