Abstract
Objective:To explore the efficacy and safety of quetiapine and haloperidol in treatment of schizophrenia.Methods:93 cases of schizophrenia patients were randomly divided into two groups, quetiapine group(n=47) and haloperidol group(n=46),All cases were treated for 6 weeks.Clinical efficacy and drug side effects were evaluated Using the PANSS Scale and TESS Scale. Results: Excellence and remission rate in quetiapine group was 63.8% and 87.2% respectively, and less Extrapyramidal reactions than another group. Conclusions: Quetiapine with small-dose haloperidol effective in the treatment of acute schizophrenia, fewer adverse effects.
