Abstract
Objective: To study the correlation between expression of HIF-1α and MMP-7 and biological behavior of parotid adenoid cystic carcinoma. Methods: The expression of HIF-1α and MMP-7 in 21 cases of ACC,15 cases of plemorphic adenoma(PA) and 15 cases of normal parotid tissue were detected by the immunohistochemistry S-P method. Results: The positive rates of HIF-1α and MMP-7 in adenoid cystic carcinoma were 80.95% and 76.19%.The expression of HIF-1α and MMP-7 was closely correlated with nerve invasion or lymph node metastasis(P0.05).A relative correlation was found between expressions of HIF-1α and MMP-7(rs=0.458,P0.01).Conclusion: The expression of HIF-1α and MMP-7 might be related to biologic behavior of adenoid cystic carcinoma.
