Abstract
In this paper, the treatment of coking wastewater by Fenton-adsorption process was studied.First, the effects of affecting factors on the treatment of coking wastewater by single Fenton reagent, such as pH value,H_2O_2 dosage, the proportion of Fe~(2+) and H_2O_2,were discussed, and the effect of H_2O_2 dosage in oxidation stage on activated carbon adsorption was discussed too;then, the effects of activated carbon dosage,pH value and adsorption time in adsorption stage, were discussed.Based on the above discussion, the optimal operating conditions of Fenton-adsorption process were determined under which the COD removal of coking wastewater was 97.5 %.The optimal operating conditions were as follows: H_2O_2 dosage is 55 mmol/L,the proportion of Fe~(2+) and H_2O_2 is 0.1 and pH value is 3 in the stage of Fenton oxidation;activated carbon dosage is 2.5 g/L,pH value is 3,and adsorption time is 30 min in the following stage of activated carbon adsorption.
