Abstract

The treatment of phenolic wastewater with Fenton reagent and activated carbon was studied. In this article, the influence of the dosage of hydrogen peroxide and ferrous sulfate,pH,adsorption time and temperature on the treatment efficiency was investigated. The results show that the optimum conditions are as follows:H2O2(30%)dosage is 0.2 mL and the FeSO4 dosage is 7.194×10-3 mol·L-1,the pH value of wastewater is around 5,and adsorption time is 30 min while the adsorption is carried out at 30 ℃. Under these conditions the removal rate of COD,color and SS could reach 85.37%,70.16% and 65.78%,respectively.
