Abstract
Objective To evaluate the clinical results of trabeculectomy combined with interferon-alpha 2b (IFN α-2b)for neovascular glaucoma.Methods 21 cases with neovascular glaucoma were treated by subscleral flap trabeculectomy and IFN α-2b subconjunctival injection every other day after operation.Results All patients were followed up 1-2 years,the postoperative intraocular pressures were all less than 21 mmHg in 21 cases,effective filtering blebs formations existed in 19 cases,no regenerative neovascular vessel remained in irises and angles.Conclusion Trabeculectomy combined with IFN α-2b is an effective treatment for neovascular glaucoma.
