Abstract

Objective To compare the efficacy, adverse effects betweenAmisulpride and Quetiapine in treatment of schizophrenia. Methods 72 cases of schizophrenia adult patients met the diagnostic criteria were randomly divided into Amisulpride group(n=36)and Quetiapine group(n=36).The dose range of Amisulpride and Quetiapine was 600-1000 mg and 200-800 mg per day for 8 weeks. The efficacy and side effects were evaluated with PANSS and TESS.Results Amisulpride and Quetiapine in the treatment of schizophrenia have significant effect. The PANSS total score of Amisulpride compared with Quetiapine group,There was significant difference in NO.4 week and NO.8 week(P0.05).Both group were fewer adverse reactions. Conclusions Amisulpride and Quetiapine are safe and effective treatment of schizophrenia,Amisulpride is better than Quetiapine in treatment of depress symptoms, and severity of side effects is smaller than Quetiapine.
