Abstract
The peripheral blood cells of E.awoara are morphologically described. On the stained smears, five major cell types are recoginized: erythrocyte, thrombocyte, neutrophil, monocyte and lymphocyte, while eosinophil and basophil are not found in the blood smears. Among these leucoytes, thrombocyte is the smallest, while monocyte the biggest; and monocyte and neutrophil is the least encountered leucoyte, while thrombocyte the most abundant; lymphocyte are divided into three types: the small lymphocyte, the medium lymphocyte and the large lymphocyte. In addition, immature erytherocyte and neutrophil are present in small numbers, The infantilism, maturation, functionality ebb and the transition types of neutrophil can be observed. The division of erytherocytes and monocyte in the blood indicates that peripheral erytherocytes and part of the leucoyte may develop directly in the circulation.
