Abstract
The morphology of peripheral blood cells of the Scartelaos virids was morphologically described. On the stained smears, six major type of blood cells were recoginized: erythrocyte, thrombocyte, neutrophil, monocyte, eosinophil and lymphocyte. While basophil was not found in the blood smears. Among these leucoyte, thrombocyte was the smallest, while Alkalinity the biggest; monocyte and neutrophil were the least encountered leucoyte, while thrombocyte the most abundant; lymphocyte was divided into three types: the small lymphocyte, the medium lymphocyte and the large lymphocyte. In addition, immature erytherocytes were present in small numbers. The division of erytherocytes and monocyte in the blood indicated that peripheral erytherocytes and parts of the leucoyte may develop directly in the circulation blood.
