Abstract

The morphology of the peripheral blood cells of Misgurnus anguillicaudatus has been studied by light microscopy. Examination of wright's stained smears of the peripheral blood has revealed the following cell types: erythrocyte, neutrophil granulocyte, eosinophil granulocyte, monocyte and thrombocyte. The immature erythrocyte, immature neutrophil and immature monocyte are present in peripheral blood also. The neutrophil granulocyte, lymphocyte and thrombocyte are abundant among leucocyte, while monocyte is the biggest, and thrombocyte, the smallest.
