Abstract
The acquisition of English intonation is always a problem for the Chinese English learners.They can hardly produce the proper intonation exactly as the native English speakers.The intonation they produce is featured with Chinese intonation characteristics.The first step to solve the problem is to find out the reason of the problem.the paper makes the elementary investigation of the intonation production by the Chinese EFL and makes it clear what perspectives the intonation teaching should pay more attention to and how to improve.
