Abstract
In teaching English pronunciation, intonation often brings difficulty for us Chinese teachers. This paper mainly discusses about the following points: difficulties Chinese students face in English intonation learning, analysis on the structure of English intonation and functions of English intonation. It has also suggested some strategies for bettering the teaching of intonation.
