Abstract
English intonation is an important part of English pronunciation, but usually it has not gained great attention in English teaching. This paper is to make a contrastive analysis on the main features of English and Chinese intonation, such as the features of tone language and intonation language, the rhythms and the connecting ways, and to point out the differences between the two kinds of intonations and find out the interferences from native language for students to master the English intonation.
