Abstract
To investigate the potential relationship between IL-17 expression and angiogenesis in human gastric cancer,immunohistochemistry was performed to examine the expression of IL-17 and CD34 in 30 paraffin-embedded gastric cancer tissues.The results show that most of the IL-17-positive cells exhibited the lymphocyte-like feature and the number correlated with the microvessel density(r=0.642,P0.001).In conclusion,there is a positive correlation between IL-17 expression and the microvessel density and IL-17 may contribute to angiogenesis in gastric cancer.
