Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To investigate and analyze the utilization status of the antihypertensive drugs in our hospital so as to provide references for clinical use and scientific management of this kind of drugs.METHODS: The ex-warehouse data of the antihypertensive drugs recorded in computer in our hospital from 2007 to 2009 were collected for statistical analysis by using Microsoft Excel. The utilization status of the antihypertensive drugs in our hospital was analyzed statistically based on DDD(defined daily dose) values,DDDs,consumption sum and DDC.RESULTS: Both the DDDs and consumption sum of antihypertensive drugs were increasing from 2007 to 2009.Calcium channel blockertook the lead either in DDDs or consumption sum, followed by angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors(ACEIs) and angiotensin Ⅱ receptor antagonist(ARB).The top 3 kinds in terms of DDDs were Amlodipine Besylate Tablets (Norvasc),Amlodipine Besylate Tablet and Nifedipine controlled release tablets(Procardin). The average daily costwas stable.CONCLUSION: When choosing antihypertensive drugs, the physicians in our hospital abided by thescientific, safe, effective, and economic drug use principle. The utilization of the antihypertensive drugs in our hospital was basically rational.
