Utilization of Antihypertensive Drugs in the Inpatients of Our Hospital

OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the clinical utilization of antihypertensive drugs in our hospital and so as to provide references for clinical rational use of antihypertensive drugs. METHODS: The varieties,consumption sum and DDDs etc of antihypertensive drugs used in our hospital were analyzed statistically with the use of Excel software by consumption sum ranking method and DDDs analytic method. RESULTS: Calcium channel blockers (CCB),Angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEI) and angiotensin Ⅱ receptor antagonist dominated the first 3 places on the consumption list while Nifedipine Sustained-release Tablets,Captopril tablets and Enalapril Maleate tablets leading the first 3 places on the DDDs list of all the antihypertensive drugs used in the inpatients of our hospital. The drugs were chiefly used alone or in combination of two kinds. CONCLUSION: It is common for drugs used in combination in the inpatients in our hospital,and the utilization of antihypertensive drugs in our hospital is basically rational.
