Abstract

Objective To investigate the effects of CPAP model mechanical ventilation in the treatment of burned patients with acute respiratory failure. Methods To observe the respiratory function improving degree after employing CPAP model mechanical ventilation in 15 cases of burned patients with acute respiratory failure .Results 1 h,24 h and 48h after employing CPAP model mechanica ventilation,SaO2 and PaO2 of blood gas of these burned patients increased significantly, and the two indices showed a statistically significant difference, compared with those pre-CPAP model mechanical ventilation(P0.019).13cases survived successfully. Conclusion These results indicate that CPAP model mechanical ventilation fit in with respiratory physiologic course and could make the cases more comfortable and significantly improve respiratory function.
