Abstract

Objective To evaluate the effects of non-invasive ventilation and invasive ventilation on respiratory failure. Methods Sixty patients were randomly divided into two groups according the methods of mechanical ventilation,non-invasive ventilation group(30 patients)and invasive ventilation group(30 patients). Results There are improve in the heart rate, respiratory rate,PaO2,PaCO2,PaO2/FiO2 ratio. The improvement rate was same in non-invasive ventilation group and in invasive ventilation group(86.6%VS 90.0%,P0.05).Conclusion The effects of non-invasive ventilation and invasive ventilation on respiratory failure were similar, according to the condition of patients, choosing suitable mechanical ventilation is one of the effective and safe supplementary therapies in rescuing cases with respiratory failure.
