Abstract

Objective To investigate the expression differences of placenta growth factor(PlGF) and clinical biochemical indicators in maternal peripheral blood of normal pregnancy and preeclampsia(mild, severe) group. Methods PlGF concentration of serum was measured by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) in 36 preeclampsia patients(15 cases of mild preeclampsia and 21 cases of severe preeclampsia)and 17 normal pregnant women.Clinical biochemical indicators data were collected. Results The serum level of PlGF of patients with mild preeclampsia group was(62.41±38.86)ng/L,severe preeclampsia was(35.91±24.28)ng/L,control group was(147.55±86.66)ng/L.The results showed that the serum PlGF levels of preeclampsia group were lower than those of the control group and there were significant differences among the mild preeclampsia group, sever preeclampsia group and control group. The concentration of serum uric acid,β2 microglobulin and serum creatinine in severe preeclampsia group were higher than those in the control group(P0.01);concentration of plasma albumin was lower than the control group(P0.01).Conclusion Lower maternal serum PlGF in preeclampsia patients is related to the severity of the disease.Serum PlGF can be used as an indicator of preeclampsia.
