Abstract
Objective To evaluate the effectiveness and safeness of colonoscopy under propofol's sedation and anesthesia. Methods Two thousand two hundred and ten patients were divided into two groups (1) Anesthesia group: Colonoscopy was undergone when patient was in the fourth grade anesthesia state after propofol was injected intravenous. (2) Control group:Colonoscopy was undergone without anesthesia. In two group of patients average systolic pressure, average diastolic pressure, pulse rate, blood oxygen saturation were measured before examination,1 ,5,20 minute after examination and operation end. Operation duration and reaction were recorded too. Results (1) During examination average artery blood pressure had no significant change in anesthesia group patients( P 0. 05 ) , but the control group had(P 0. 01 ). (2) There was no significant difference in average diastolic pressure, pulse rate and blood oxygen saturation in every stage during examination in two groups . (3) Anesthesia group had less complains and shorter operation duration compared with control group. Conclusion Colonosacopy under propofol's sedation and anesthesia is effective, safe and superior.
