Abstract

Objective To investigate the significance of brain natriuretic peptide(BNP) levels in the diagnosis of heart failure. Methods Select 70 cases with heat failure in our hospital from June 2009 to June 2010 and 20 cases for health check in the same period as study object.Determine the level of serum BNP of the two groups by means of enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.Evaluate the relation between BNP level and heart function. Results BNP levels in heart failure group were significantly higher,p0.05.BNP level in acute heart failure is significantly higher than chronic heart failure,p0.05.And in higher NYHA functional class,BNP level is higher, the differences between the subgroups were significantly,p0.05,acute cardiovascular events in patients with heart failure higher peak levels,p0.05.Conclusion BNP levels can be a better response to left ventricular functional status, thus in heart failure diagnosis and prognosis it has important clinical significance.
