Abstract
Objective To investigate the value of BNP in diagnosis of heart failure level and its prognosis. Methods This study consisted of 60 patients with heart failure in New York Heart Association functional class Ⅰ~Ⅳ,and had BNP measured.Within 30 day, survivors and died patients in class Ⅲ~Ⅳ were enrolled. Results Levels of BNP gradually elevated in patients of class Ⅰ~Ⅳ(P(0.001)),and plasma levels lowered in the died patients in class Ⅲ~Ⅳ within 30 day(P0.001).Conclusion Plasma BNP has an important evaluation of heart failure and lower levels of BNP predict short-term mortality in the end-stage heart failure.
