Clinical observation on effect of TCM decoction on 50 patients with acute bronchial asthma

Objective To investigate the efficacy of Sheganmahuang decoction combined with Xiaoqinglong decoction on patients with acute bronchial asthma. Methods 100 patients with bronchial asthma who were admitted to our hospital from January2012 to January 2014 were randomly divided into observation group and control group,with 50 cases in each. The control group received western medicine,while the observation group received Sheganmahuang decoction and Xiaoqinglong decoction for adjuvant therapy based on western medicine. the treatment lasted for 2 weeks,the FEV1,FVC,PEF and symptom scores in two groups before and after treatment were compared. Results Total effective rate of observation group and control group was 96% and 78%,respectively,there was significant difference between the two groups( P 0. 01),the rank sum test results showed that the clinical curative effect of the observation group was significantly better than that of control group( P 0. 01). After treatment,the FEV1,FVC,PEF in both groups were significantly higher than those before treatment,and all indexes in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group( P 0. 05). Symptom scores in both groups was significantly lower than that before treatment,and the observation group improved more obviously( P 0. 05). Conclusion Sheganmahuang decoction combined with Xiaoqinglong decoction for adjuvant treatment can increase therapeutic effect and improve lung function in patients with acute bronchial asthma,which is worthy to be widely emplyed.
