Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of “Xincang Decoction” in the treatment of childhood bronchial asthma. Methods Sixty subjects were equally randomized into two groups:treatment group in which 30 cases were treated by “Xincang Decoction” and control group in which another 30 cases were treated by Ketotifen Capsule. Three months later, the clinical efficacy, symptom scores, pulmonary function, serum EOS,IL-4,IL-5 and IgE levels were observed. Results The total effective rate was 83.3% in treatment group and 80.0% in control group,P 0.05;the allergic symptoms were more improved in treatment group than in control group(P 0.05);the blood EOS and IL-5 were reduced more significantly in treatment group than in control group (P 0.05). Conclusion “Xincang Decoction” has some positive effects on childhood bronchial asthma.
